Sri Lanka. Palymrah palm and a toddy tapper. The sap of the flower is 'tapped' every morning. The palm sap may be used to make a palm sugar called jaggery, or drunk fresh. It ferments by evening and is used to make arrack, an alchoholic brew. Jaffna Peninsula.
