In the hot month of April, a festival takes place on the West Coast fishing village of Udappu. A Hindu community at this small fishing village celebrate and observe an old tradition. Days of prayer and dance, are concluded with groups of village dancers gathering on the village beach to dance and end their prayers with a dip in the sea. They pray for rain and the onset of the south west monsoon rains.
