Andrew 'Sonna' William Dirckze.
"My father was a hardworking, earnest electrical engineer and the last batch of students he taught before departing Ceylon gathered for a group phtograph.
Sonna was determined that no student should feel out of place, so he deliberately dressed casually, in a 'bush' shirt, and no tie.
His students all turned up immaculately presented - the lecturer was the only one without a tie !
Almost 40 years later in Brisbane, Sonna said, "They were such clever fellows, I hope they are all doing well'. - Tina Faulk
