Sri Lanka. Udappuwa festival. Four Guardians at fire walking pit

The Four Guardians arrive at the front of the main Vishnu Kovil. The fire walking will take place here the next day. Each is given charge of a corner. They dance to Sinhalese drummers. Each finally falls at his respective corner, is whipped, and then carried off into the temple.
